Wells Advantage: Throttle Position Sensor
Every Wells component is designed and manufactured to the industry’s most stringent quality benchmarks, ensuring best-in-class product performance and reliability.
Our engineers often determine that matching original equipment fit, form and function simply isn’t good enough due to known performance and reliability issues. We then develop a highly advanced, “better-than-OE” solutions that will provide years of trouble-free performance. Here are two examples:
Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)
OE Design Failure: Cracks and voids worn into circuit boards, causing vehicle hesitation; broken solder joints leading to premature component failure
Wells Design: Wells engineers have developed two problem-solving TPS designs. The first, featured in Wells contact-type TPS sensors, incorporates a flexible polyester board material, spring pressure clips and precision-matched conductive circuit board ink and contacts. Wells now also offers sophisticated non-contact TPS sensors equipped with Hall Effect integrated circuitry.
Wells Advantage: Wells contact-type sensors offer 2X the life of units with OE circuit boards. They also eliminate failure-prone solder connections and offer excellent resistance to heat and vibration. Wells non-contact sensors eliminate all mechanical and thermal wear issues associated with conventional designs.
