Design Engineer – Emission Components

Due to our continued growth and strong position in the automotive aftermarket, our Product Development Engineering Group has an opening for a Design Engineer to develop automotive emission components. As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for development of emission components such as EGR Valves, Canister Purge Valves, Throttle Air Bypass Valves and Vacuum Solenoids that will replicate all aspects of OE parts.
 

What You Need to Bring to The Job:

  • Requires a 4 year degree in engineering.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Design/Product engineering of pneumatic or hydraulic valves.

  • Strong problem solving skills, data analysis skills and associated report development is required.

  • Demonstrated project and time management skills; a record of consistently meeting project timelines.

  • Strong bias for action, with effective oral and written communication skills along with the ability to motivate others assigned to assist you with your projects.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and a CAD system.

  • Experience in a high volume product manufacturing environment preferred.

  • A working knowledge of TS16949, QS 9000 or ISO 14000 is preferred.

  • Experience with APQP is preferred.
